Dear Falconi, You were right: the pip version was pip 0.3.1 from /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages (python 2.6)I did upgrade it with $ sudo pip install --upgrade pipthen after running the command $ /usr/local/bin/pip --versionI get pip 1.1 from /usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages (python 2.6)NOT python 2.7 (?) Any reason for that? Continuing the installation I found a confusing situation and nee your help. What are the next steps? Please give me the details. Try to update it with the following command # pip install --upgrade pip Check the version $ /usr/local/bin/pip --version It should be => 1.1 pip 1.1 from /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages (python 2.7) Then you should be OK. Let us know if it works.Thank you in advance Amidus ---- Luis Falcon GNU Health http://health.gnu.org --
