Hi guys.i have an issue. I have a product with a properly configured payment term.when I click on post to post invoice I get an error warning pop up that "no period defined for date" .but my invoice date was set before I saved.please what is the issue.

You have to first create a Fiscal Year with Periods  (Financial -> Configuration -> Fiscal Years -> Fiscal Years)
