It was fixed in the devel branch in early February, commit
7411382644c8dfc060cfb86731de5fe37516a9bb.
I use homebrew. Could you please make
the fix official so that the changes can be propagated to homebrew?
I am working on finishing up features and fixes for bash-5.3. I won't be
looking at additional bash-5.2 patches until that goes into testing.
