empty assoc var in mapfile -C C func

i still code on my converter ..
related , gawk is full of bugs , so i tried in bash

i minorly analyzed bash -x it all looks good , the one letter vars are fine
, just when they r read/used on the second find arg , empty

i tried declare -gA ( than no declare inside func , for only set once on
script begin .. no result
