Gentlebeings,
I just compiled cfengine-2.0.7p3 on a Sun sparc(sun4u) architecture
running Solaris 8.0 with latest recommended patch cluster, with gcc 2.95.1.
The compilation proceeds with out any errors( finds my ssl libs &
includes, finds my Berkeley DB 3.2 libs ), however when I run some of
the executeables, they dump core.
Ex. :
truss ./cfagent
<snip>
stat("/etc/redhat-release", 0xFFBEFAA8) Err#2 ENOENT
stat("/etc/SuSE-release", 0xFFBEFAA8) Err#2 ENOENT
stat("/etc/slackware-release", 0xFFBEFAA8) Err#2 ENOENT
stat("/etc/debian_version", 0xFFBEFAA8) Err#2 ENOENT
stat("/etc/UnitedLinux-release", 0xFFBEFAA8) Err#2 ENOENT
stat("/var/cfengine/state/cf_procs", 0xFFBEFAA8) = 0
Incurred fault #6, FLTBOUNDS %pc = 0x00000000
siginfo: SIGSEGV SEGV_MAPERR addr=0x00000000
Received signal #11, SIGSEGV [default]
siginfo: SIGSEGV SEGV_MAPERR addr=0x00000000
*** process killed ***
Cfkey similarly core dumps, as well.
I can run "cfservd --help" and get the usage options...cfexecd, however.
Any thoughts or suggestions is appreciated.
