I have found that compiling both OpenSSL,DB and cfengine myself and
statically linked has improved stability of cfengine.

Im running on HP-UX (10.20 and 11), Solaris (2.6,8,9) and Linux (Redhat
7.2/8/9 and Debian). I have never seen problems with stability of
cfengine. I run both cfexecd and cfservd on every machine.
