Some observations:- Doing 'cfexecd -d2' _and_ waiting a couple of minutes resulting in this output from 'ps auxwww | grep cf' (notice funny chars in cfexecd's path):
root 6536 0.0 0.0 4016 1608 ? S 15:11 0:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfenvd root 6550 0.0 0.1 4332 1940 ? S 15:11 0:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfservd root 9073 0.0 0.0 3856 1448 pts/1 S 15:35 0:00 /var/cfengin9n/cfexecd -d2 - So I started 'cfexecd -g -d2' all looks normal.- Looking through the output of cfexecd, it wakes up every minute to see if there is anything it needs to do. Things start to run into trouble at Min00_05 (which is my default schedule).
This AM:- I have preserved the windows, their data, and the still running processes as I found them this AM.
- The cfexecd that I started from the console yesterday PM resulted in a segmentation fault at the first Min00_05. I've attached the last couple minutes of data as 'cfexecd.out.020805-1'.
- I found the core file from the above segfault and performed GDB 'bt full' on the core. I've attached the output as 'cfexecd.core.out.020805-1'.
- These are the running processes as of this AM: root 6536 0.0 0.0 4328 1476 ? S Feb07 0:03 /var/cfengine/bin/cfenvd root 6550 0.0 0.0 4332 1368 ? S Feb07 0:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfservd root 12166 0.0 0.0 5936 1004 ? S Feb07 0:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd root 22996 0.0 0.0 3852 1460 ? S 06:03 0:00 /var/cfengine/bin/cfexecd I've attached respective GDB 'bt full' of the cfexecd PID's. If you require any more data or actions, pls feel free to ask. Thank you, /\/elson
