You mean the cfexecd proc?
I supervise the cfengine daemons and monitor their output via syslog:
$ sudo svstat /service/cf*
Password:
/service/cfenvd: up (pid 17360) 18391878 seconds
/service/cfexecd: up (pid 15232) 18396425 seconds
/service/cfservd: up (pid 859) 334233 seconds
$ cat /service/cfexecd/log/run
#!/bin/sh
exec /usr/bin/logger -p daemon.notice
Of course I have cfengine setup itself up to be supervised.
