I normally use proxychains and tor for a quick check (just so I don't
have to configure or find a proxy), it will output dns requests and
connections.
As final check I'd use a vm and tcpdump on the host.

makeicecat does that with the configure_extensions() function.

The extension is named jid1-KtlZuoiikVfFew@jetpack and I don't think
this and other extensions need compilation, I see that in the Makefile
they are just copied over.
