i just installed codeblocks and fired up a test.
no problems. they make it easy to install.
this way is easier for a beginner than
trying to figure out how to update
cygwin to a newer version of
g++.
if i need to i can just install
a newer version of MinGW.
the g++ file properties in windows say created year 2004.
that is probably ok because one book i
have is copyrighted 2005.
