Ha, yeah, it is a stylized head of a young wildebeest. After drawing some thumbnails, I decided I wanted a simple shape, and the V shape worked for me when I started digitizing the idea, that's all.

But you can read it as «V for Victory» or «Victorious Guix» if you want, I wouldn't mind :)
