Hello !
I would like to ask you for your help about
the installation of GNU-make. When I used the command 'configure' to
configure my system, it returned me the following error message
:
>loading cache
./config.cache
>checking for a BSD compatible install... ./install-sh -c >checking whether build environment is
sane... yes
>checking whether make sets ${MAKE}...
yes
>checking for working aclocal...
missing
>checking for working autoconf...
missing
>checking for working automake...
missing
>checking for working autoheader...
missing
>checking for working makeinfo...
missing
>checking host system type...
sparc-sun-solaris2.8
>checking whether make sets ${MAKE}...
(cached) yes
>checking for gcc... no
>checking for cc... no >configure: error: no acceptable cc found
in $PATH
I do give '$PATH' to the directory in which
'cc' command exists. But it seems my 'cc' is identical to 'ucbcc' because if I
type only 'cc' without any option, it returns me the message:
"Usage: ucbcc [ options ] files. Use 'ucbcc
-flages' for details "
Will it be the problem ?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Jih-Chuan
