Please always provide the version of GNU make you're using, and the
system you're installing on, when you report issues.
There is a known bug in make 3.80 where the build.sh script is not
constructed properly.
If you have a local make already (virtually every system comes with
one), you should use that.
If you don't, you need to edit the build.sh file and replace "@REMOTE@"
with "stub".
This has been fixed in the source already and the fix will be available
in the next release of GNU make.
