checkout the files from source control in makefile

Hi,

I want write a makfile that will checkout the files
from the source control and build the sources. Also if
the sources depends upon files which are in different
directory, how i can checkout depend files from source
control(subversion) using makfile.
can anybody suggest me how to solve this problem?
