A number of bugs and problems were fixed.  In particular, a bug fix
which caused the Linux kernel build system to behave improperly has been
deferred until the next release.

This is a release candidate; unless important errors are discovered the
official release will be made sometime next week.  Please make every
effort to test this release on as many systems and in as many situations
as possible.
