How do I stop a builtin rule

From:	PATTON, BILLY \(SBCSI\)

I'm dealing with some lex/yacc/flex/bison
I can run the YACC and get .o output.  I'm expecting the .tab.c.
Since I'm not doing it must be one of the built in rules.
How do I stop it?
