Well, there is a trick to workaround it, see:
define FUNC
address@hidden := $$(shell sleep 10)
endef
all:
@echo DONE
$(info $(FUNC))
While ^@ is actually \x00, the NUL character. To input it,
in vim, Linux virtual terminal, you first press Ctrl-V, then Ctrl-J.
