Arvid,
You don't say which version of octave or which version of gnuplot you're
using. If the versions are recent, look at __gnuplot_set__ and
__gnuplot_raw__ as possible replacements for what you did with gset. With
those new functions, you can send just about any command string that you
want to gnuplot.
