I downloaded the RPM, installed it and now everything works fine.
Thank you very much.
I am just curious about one thing: what code in the previous
octave-forge could conflict with the new octave package in such a way
to cause segmentation faults? I used to think that a new octave
release without a new octave-forge release could break octave-forge,
but not octave itself.
