My first guess would be that your compiler is not compatible with the
one R was compiled with.
Btw. there is a newer R package at
http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/igraph/index.html
Btw.2. the suggested way is to install igraph is to type in
install.packages("igraph")
at your R prompt.
