Hi. I'm trying to use CVS to retrieve files from a remote
repository (that I own). I'm using:
cvs -d :ext:<login>@<machine>/<path> checkout <directory>
I'm getting:
cvs checkout: missing hostname in CVSROOT: <parrots -d argument>
cvs [checkout aborted]: Bad CVSROOT.
The client is CVS v1.11 on NetBSD 1.5
The server is CVS v1.9 on SunOS 5.6
Any suggestions? I've tried both rsh and ssh (by setting CVS_RSH).
Both work from the command line, but neither works with cvs.
