CVS is locked without any "#cvs.*" files in repository -- AHHHHHH! -- what do I do? |

I'm getting the following problem with any CVS commands on our project...
cvs server: [08:24:55] waiting for erik's lock in
/fs/cgd/csm/models/CVS.REPOS/shared/ccmlsm
However, there aren't any CVS locks (#cvs.* files) in the repository....
0[258]1 silverton:/<4>CVS.REPOS/shared/ccmlsm > cd $CVSROOT
0[259]1 silverton:/<2>csm/models/CVS.REPOS > find . -name '#cvs.*' -print
0[260]1 silverton:/<2>csm/models/CVS.REPOS > pwd
/fs/cgd/csm/models/CVS.REPOS
This is with CVS1.11 which we've been using since last September. I also looked
for RCS locks in the directory in question, and didn't find any (I checked the
Attic too). $CVSROOT/CVSROOT doesn't seem to have anything weird in it either.
This is with an existing module that's been established without any changes
for quite some time.
Any suggestions?
