connecting winCVS to linux

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I made changes to my xinetd configuration to allow for a new repository and
pushed those changes through.  Since I have not been able to connect to the
previously defined repositories or the new one from the WinClient.  I backed
out my changes for the new repository and still get the same error message
when trying to login after changing my preferences in the client.

"cvs [login aborted]: recv() from server <servername>: Connection reset by
peer"

Any ideas on what's causing this?
