If your trunk revisions are all of the form 1.x , the trunk is effectively
a "branch" with branch number "1". So,
$ cvs diff -r1
You can also try
$ cvs diff -rHEAD
but I'm not sure of the exact semantics if your sandbox is on a
branch...
