Hello,
CVSWeb is just a repository viewer; it does not allow
checkin/chekout.
I am one of the developers of SandWeb ( http://sandweb.sf.net ),
we are currently working on a system that does this. It is not
quite done, but it is being actively developed.
There is a more complete system here : ( http://freepository.com )
however it is based on the CVSWeb sources and does not have
the nice object structure and design that SandWeb does.
Anyway, this is somewhat offtopic for this list ;) but alot
of people use CVSWeb/ViewCVS/etc so I thought others might
be interested, too.
To answer your question, look for a pulldown menu near
the bottom of each screen that lets you select the default
tag/branch to display, or click on a filename and you
will see tags/branches associated with that file ( you
see all revisions of the file, regardless of the branch
it is on ).
HTH,
