Hello, I have posted this problem before, but the proposed solutions didn't work. Setting: We are using CVS to store 4 projects, that use some common files. Common files are in the head branch, every Project has its own branch.
Well, it may not help you at the moment, but I'd suggest you re-think about how you organize your stuff. If you've four projects which sharesome code, you'd better work with modules. Branches are not for different projects, but for different versions of the same project. Of course, you can abuse branches the way you do, but that puts you sooner or later into trouble, as you came into.
Re-read the manual on branches and modules and some cvs-philosophical stuff from K. Fogels book at http://cvsbook.red-bean.com/ Harald -- iXpoint Informationssysteme GmbH # Rheinstraße 79a # Harald Kucharek 76275 Ettlingen # address@hidden Tel/Fax +49 7243 3775-0/77 # www.ixpoint.de
