Larry,
I work with Diego and I have already explained that based on we have already
discussed here.
As we could see there exists a reason why checking out 1.1.1.1 in spite of
1.1.
For future users asking the same question, i think we could not just telling
to ignore but also explaing the reason. I think telling just to ignore could
dicourage people to make a better uderstand of CVS's "back stage".

*WHY*? Just ignore the revision numbers: they're for CVS, not you.
