I'm not sure if I understand the question - which could be that it would
make more sense to a WinCVS user.
The WinCVS mailing list is:
http://groups.yahoo.com/subscribe/cvsgui
I *think* that you may be confusing the repository with the work
area/sandpit. If the repository and the work area / sandpit are on the
same PC try and put them on separate drives or at least "hide" the
repository so you don't think about it - you should never touch the
repository directly.
If you have:
Server:
myrepo/cvsmodule
Client:
c:/somedir/cvsmodule
And you want to add somedir/a.txt to the repository then you need to
work out where in the repository it will go, eg:
Server:
myrepo/cvsmodule
myrepo/somedir/a.txt
I *really* think the WinCVS group will be a better place to explain the
process since that is the GUI that you are using.
Regards,
Arthur

Subject: wincvs adding files to module from different directory?
hi There!
I am looking for some way to add files to the CVS Module, but from a
different working directory.
eg:
I am having Module checked-out at repository CVSRepo
c:\my_cvs\CVSRepo\myModule
I want to add files to cvs not from *myModule* but from *c:\my_cvs*
I am not sure this is the right group. but if at all this is possible or
supported by the cvs (wincvs) please let me know..
thanks a lot!
