hi Larry
Thanx for ur response
sorrry,by blabla.com i meant my machines IP address
I have already done that at my machine and also from some other machine
as well
telnet blabla.com 2401
Trying blabla.com...
Connected to blabla.com..
Escape character is '^]'.
cvs [pserver aborted]: bad auth protocol start:
Connection closed by foreign host.
so i guess this is workin fine
my passwd file in my CVSROOT contents are in this format
cvsuser:$1$SbalA1$Bvs6C9Yx2ebY3bhbktMVc1:cvsuser
cvsuser is system user as well and password encryted here is different
from cvsuser's system password.
i have included following in my /etc/hosts.allow
cvs : ALL
and i tried the same with disabling firewall settings
NOW ANOTHER PROBLEM I AM GETTING SOMETHING LIKE THIS INSTEAD OF EARLIER
response
cvs -t -d:pserver:address@hidden:/var/cvsroot login
-> main loop with CVSROOT=:pserver:address@hidden:/var/cvsroot
Logging in to :pserver:address@hidden:2401/var/cvsroot
CVS password:
-> Connecting to blabla.com(blabla.com):2401
cvs [login aborted]: unrecognized auth response from blabla.com: cvs
pserver: cannot open /var/cvsroot/CVSROOT/config: Permission denied
-> Lock_Cleanup()
do i need to use ps ax for verifying ?if yes ,then please let me know
how to use it
