I guess I do not understand what is meant by a CVS client.
Here is how I do a commit from home:
cvs -d :ext:address@hidden:/projects/tm/cvs checkout
project
I am prompted for my password (actually not, since I run ssh-add) and
that is it.
What client am I using? My home machine and the remote machine both
run linux.
The windows users do an equivalent of this using their own secure
protocol.
I assumed that the problem is in the windows users editor which garbles
UNIX files.
I am not an administrator, and all of us have the same permissions on
the CVSROOT directory. I initialized the project. (I also fixed the
already checked in DOS files by directly manipulating the *,v files,
restoring the logs etc., since nobody else knew how to and cared at the
same time.)
cvs -version says:
Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.11.5 (client/server)
Thanks,
