Just delete the directory from the repository.
HOWEVER! If the directory contains an Attic/ subdirectory, then you
should be careful: all your old (now dead) revisions are stored there,
and if you should ever need to go back to a version that uses one of
those files, you'll be in big trouble.
Since the directory is empty, and the -P option won't check it out, why
not just leave it?
