I really should post slower than I think. Changing:

  "%2{ %}%3{%B%}%1{%s}\n"))

for

  "%2{ %}%3{%B%}%s\n"))

did the trick. %n{ %} fixates face properties (to gnus-face-n), as far
as I see.
