* Grants (Development/Design)
* NLnet
- Ongoing.
- Reviewed most of the etherpad organizing grant objectives
* Open Technology Fund
* Be on the lookout for other grant opportunities.
* Progress on reported bugs (Development/Design)
* Discussing WebWorker.
* Manifest V3 (Development)
* Rediscussion of both our "blocking" issues:
1. RegisteredContentScript requirements,
https://github.com/w3c/webextensions/issues/103
2. LAN-aware DNR, https://github.com/w3c/webextensions/issues/402
* These were favorably received by Mozilla, Google (neutral on 2) and
Apple.
* Meeting minutes:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QkwhEMtMS67JBUkl_WVPZ4lRSKoWcQNlLJSf_GwSXg8/edit
* Discussion will continue on the specific followup proposal I've
created afterwards:
- Proposal: RegisteredContentScript.func and
RegisteredContentScript.args (similar to ScriptInjection),
https://github.com/w3c/webextensions/issues/536
- Proposal: RegisteredContentScript.workers property to inject
WorkerScope(s), https://github.com/w3c/webextensions/issues/538
- Proposal: RegisteredContentScript.tabIds and
RegisteredContentScript.excludeTabIds properties to filter injection,
https://github.com/w3c/webextensions/issues/539
- I'm working to a new or amended LAN-aware DNR proposal which can be
more favorably received by Google and Apple based on their feedback (on
Firefox we will still be able to use blocking WebRequest for the
foreseeable future).
* User stats (Development/Design)
* JShelter user statistics as of 2023-02-28.
* Chrome users: 3170 (???%) (2023-02-28)
* Firefox users: 530 (???%) (2023-10-10)
* Total known users: 3698
* Uncounted users would include users of Firefox based browsers
which do not check each day for browser updates.
* Usability report (Design)
* Looking into changing the style to a more user-friendly format.
* Localization or Internationalization (i18n) (Development/Design)
* We have a working pipeline.
* Some upload parts are manual.
* We probably do not want weblate to automatically push to pagure
without review.
* Copyediting
- Some problems with Pagure. Could not create new branches.
- Branches must be prefixe with web something.
- Additional prefixes can be added if needed.
-
* Tests (Development)
*
* Paper
* Reviewing questionnaire responses.
* Next meeting (Development/Design)
* Meetings repeat every two weeks.
* Next development meeting: Feb 20th
