I second the recommendation for doing a CVS install. In fact, I wrote
up a document on the Koha Wiki
http://www.saas.nsw.edu.au/wiki/index.php?page=CVSSymLinkInstallation
explaining how to do so. It should be a fairly straight forward
process.
