introduction

I am a computer science student at the university of Jyväskylä in
Finland. I have been following this project for a couple of years now,
just following the list and not really doing anything. Some years back
I saw Neal mention an economic model for memory management and having
been somewhat interested in operating system memory management it
caught my interest. At the time I was busy with other school work and
the idea just sank into my brain, waiting for the right time to bear
fruit.

Now I am just finishing my bachelor's thesis on market models in
memory management and would like to start my master's thesis on how it
could be implemented in the Hurd/L4. I have been reading some of the
documentation but haven't even glanced at the code. I actually have no
idea how to begin or what I have to do, but I hope it will become
clearer with time. My thesis has to be in finnish, but I can write
articles or essays in english and include those as parts of it, so I
hope to contribute some material to the project too.

I am pathologically lazy, and that makes me chronically busy. I feel I
have somewhat of a "hummingbird mind" and sometimes have trouble
concentrating, but I'll try to get things done and be at least
slightly productive at times. I just need someone to point me in the
right direction when I start wandering too far from where I'm supposed
to be going.

I am a very nice person.
