Tom: Consider gthumb.
Gthumb is actually two things: a browsing "shell" and a bunch of plugin
image viewers. If you look at it that way then *your* comment makes
sense (and I agree with it). But to users it does not appear that way,
and it is surprisingly easy for developers to forget this too.
Pierre: Consider that the failure to cleanly separate the shell from the
viewers in gthumb is actually a fundamental design error. Sometimes the
right solution is to fix the bad program. We can't do them all at once,
but we need to start somewhere.
