I have a question though - to everyone: What are thoughts around a release schedule? What would a reasonable roadmap be?
Yeah, I wanted to touch about that.As far as I'm concerned, I'm certainly not in a hurry to see a new release of libcdio that integrates multiextent support, since I am already using a workaround for that in my application.
So if you want to wait until things have settled with the 2.0 release, I don't really have an objection, even if we don't see an official release with multiextent support for another couple of years
And will be ABI and API compatible? Or not?
If Thomas achieves what he set to do, I think we should ultimately be okay in terms of ABI and API compatibility. But I'll leave it to him to confirm.
