I agree, about that case.

But that special case is not enough reason to conclude that trademarks
are wrong overall and should be abolished entirely.  They are very good
in other cases.


Hi,

Most, if not all, intangible assests stereotypes have their good and bad sides. Thing about trademark trolls or Lego filling trademarks, and getting them in some European countries, for their block designs after the patents expired.

I think the important thing is to have licenses that only keep the good side of these as you did with the GPL. Hope soon will be good licenses for trademarks and patents as well.
