Rich,

Ok, in that case I'll have a closer look at your patch
and possibly apply it. It'll have to wait until I
can look it over though, but I promise not to foret it.

Thanks!

Robert

Hello.

"info Conditionals 'Conditional Commands'" says this:

...

address@hidden' begins segments of text that should be ignored by TeX when
it typesets the printed manual. The segment of text appears only in
the Info file and (for historical compatibility) the plain text output.
The address@hidden' command should appear on a line by itself; end the
Info-only text with a line containing address@hidden ifinfo' by itself.

...

Then in "info 'Command List'":

...

address@hidden'
address@hidden'
address@hidden'
address@hidden'
address@hidden'
     Begin a stretch of text that will be ignored in one output format
     but not the others. The text appears in the formats not specified:
     address@hidden' text is omitted from html output, etc. The exception
     is address@hidden' text, which is omitted from plain text output as
     well as Info output. Pair with the corresponding address@hidden
     ifnotFORMAT'.  *Note Conditionals::.

...

"blah blah blah" will appear in everything but Texinfo from the following:

@ifnottex
blah blah blah
@end ifnottex

Bye, Rich =]
