No other active projects are using slist to my knowledge (excepting  
some non-GNU stuff of my own).

I have got some slist unit tests somewhere on my hard disk backups.   
If I haven't lost them, I'll port them into libtool presently -- which  
effectively holds the master copy of slist nowadays.
