This would be the fourth or fifth patch from Yaakov.  The FSF considers
about 15 lines nontrivial, and yes, you can assume individual additions
to sum up, even if each of them is trivial.

Me neither.  I'm not making up these rules either, so please discuss
them with the FSF if you have an issue with them.
