The output is not wrong but a consequence of different voices being created
for the parallel passages in << >>. That's the normal way implicit
contexts in parallel music are being created.
The question is rather whether an isolated s-. would warrant a different
diagnostic rather than this weird programming error. A simpler way to
trigger it is
{ s-. }
