Comment #29 on issue 3307 by address@hidden: Rest positions incorrect with non-standard line count
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=3307Here is some other feedback I need: are the multi-voice short rest positions ok for the five-line case? If we further lower the lower-voice whole rests in multi-voice, there will be a vertical offset between both rest types. Is this an argument for positioning "regular" whole rests and multimeasure rests differently (as multimeasure rests don't group themselves with shorter rests)? My gut feeling is "no".
Does it make sense to stay with a fixed 4 staff space displacement for multi-voice short rests in tablatures etc or should we move 3 (to align on a staff line rather than a space in the multi-voice case)? My personal feeling is to keep the multi-voice staff line (mis-)alignment the same as single voice.
