New issue 3426 by address@hidden: \omit Dots acts like \hide Dots
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=3426
Reported by Pavel Roskin:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-lilypond/2013-06/msg00051.html
\omit Dots should not reserve space for the omitted dots. That's what \hide
does. The problems exists in Lilypond 2.16 as well. The \omit keyword just
makes it more obvious that the current behavior is wrong.
