And that's exactly the problem.  The enclosing rectangle may be square, but  
the area moments of inertia differ significantly even when the shape is  
filled.  That creates a visually oblong shape.

Well, I should have written: "In that case, the short sides of the inner  
white area would need to have the same curvature"

Namely this concerns the execution of the proposal not to let the thin  
sides remain straight and does not apply to the _presented_ case.

I have not mentioned the problem of bad stem attachment since it does not  
make sense to invest work there before we are happy with the shape.
