This has been tested on Windows (italian locale). I guess that Mac has the  
same issue but can't verify.

The main menu of LilyPad is translated, see .rt files in the repo:
https://github.com/gperciva/lilypad/tree/master/windows

But there are some parts not localized yet:

- installation wizard
- Welcome to LilyPond
- right-click menu on LilyPond icon -> "Generate PDF" and "Edit source"
