http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=3304Changing 'spacing-increment' is sufficiently distinct in its (very subtle) visible effect that it should be considered in an issue separate from this one. An email to bug-lilypond at gnu dot org is how we ask the bug-tracker volunteers to start a new issue. (It is not obvious that the width of a black note head is the proper increment to use for each factor-of-two increase in duration, and LilyPond has used 1.2 staff spaces for a very long time.)
This issue already has had a proposed patch with five parts, distinct changes from the point of view of the program, but all addressing the problem described at the top of this issue.
