PDF metadata feature was introduced in December 2010 (see issue [#1463]) and it was documented in the Notation Reference only in August 2015:
commit a22f2ad68fccb81e52f805ba69cb8c0e6bf8cd82 Author: Phil Holmes <...> Date: Thu Aug 13 15:10:22 2015 +0100 Add PDF metadata section to NR; indexing; minor error fix
The second item above is still open though. So I'm going to change the title of this issue.
This is the feature request:
Headers pushed to PDF doc properties

Subject: Headers pushed to PDF doc properties

Some (but not all) entries from the \header block are pushed as PDF properties, and either appear in the "Description", or in the "Custom" fields tab of the PDF document "Properties" dialog box:title composer (shown in the "Author" field, as well as in a custom "Composer" field). keywords arranger (custom) subtitle (custom) poet (custom) copyright (custom)Is there a way to add an arbitrary header field and have LilyPond add it to the list of 'custom' properties for the PDF?
