OK, I'll run this test.  But it looks to me (see below).like I should be
able to solve the problem by getting the Noto Serif JP font.  I'll look at
installing that font.

Here's the results of the test:

carl@carls-mbp-2 lilypond % LC_ALL=C build/out/bin/lilypond
input/regression/pdf-copy-paste.ly

GNU LilyPond 2.25.13 (running Guile 3.0)

  As you can see, no error.


I'll work on the Noto JP Sans.
