Wouldn't it be a bit less clumsy to just make up a lyrics
correspondence, possibly with several sylables per note. Then
whatever lily wanted do do with the line breaks, some words would go
with the note. For instance:
\lyrics{When~in~disgrace with~fortune~and men's~eyes}
would put the lyrics with the first three notes.
